Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO):
GMO has such incredible implications to human health and in turn to children's development that it becomes important that all of us find out about the implications and make our own decisions about our family's safety. Genetic modification has been shown to be particularly a problem with the work of the company Monsanto (now Bayer). This company modified their seeds to work with their glyphosate containing pesticide Round-Up. The situation becomes more confused as the research surrounding glyphosate is often questioned as much of the research is linked to corporate influence with university funding and government lobbying.
With the outcome of a court case in 2018 against Monsanto/Bayer a number of governments are examining the sources of the research underlying their own glyphosate approval . This article in the Guardian newspaper explores this issue.

Video's:
This is an interview with Dr. Don Huber who has worked a long career in agriculture particularly related to food safety. He has become so concerned with recent developments in agriculture related to GMO he has come out of retirement to speak out. In this interview he is interviewed by Dr. Mercola.
In this interview Jeffrey Smith speaks with Tom Malterre,MS,CN on the topic of GMOs and Gluten where they explore a variety of ideas as to how GMOs play a role in the rising numbers of individuals experiencing gluten intolerance.
This is an interview in which Jeffrey Smith speaks to Stephanie Seneff PhD, a Senior Research Scientist at MIT about her findings published in Entropy connecting chronic diseases and conditions to glyphosate the chemical found in pesticides which many GMO organisms are bred to be tolerant of.

Articles:
This is a print interview of Dr. Don Huber found in ACRES
ISIS (the Institute of Science in Society), has created a report outlining many concerns about GMOs from a scientific perspective. It is entitled
" The Case for a GM Free Sustainable World" . ISIS is a not for profit organization in Britain, which is dedicated to providing critical and scientific information to the public and to promoting social accountability and ecological sustainability in science. This article was written in 2003 and seems today still farsighted in its vision and understanding.
Dr. Eric Seralini, a French molecular biologist, has been on the forefront of research showing negative impacts of GMO. He has been awarded a number of prestigious awards in Europe for his work. Dr. Seralini co-founded CRII-GEN ( Committee of Independent Research and Information on Genetic Engineering) which focuses on independent and ethical scientific evaluation.
Dr. Seralini published research in the journal Food and Chemical Toxicology in November 2012 entitled Longterm toxicity of a Roundup herbicide and a Roundup tolerant genetically modified maize. This study was later retracted but is still considered by many in the scientific community as a significant study. This research shows endocrine disrupting effects in rats fed Roundup tolerant maize.
"Against the Grain; Biotechnology and the Corporate Takeover of Your Food", a book written by Marc Lappe and Britt Bailey is an older book which early on identified many of the problems related to genetic modification.
An article appeared in the journal Entropy, an on line open access scientific journal, which discussed connections between gut dysbiosis and glyphosate.

Organizations Involved in GMO Awareness:
Canadian Biotechnology Awareness Network (CBAN) is an education and advocacy organization which follows developments in agriculture in relation to GMO's.
The Institute for Responsible Technology is a U.S. based organization which provides information about GMO's, acts as an advocate and connects people to others interested in the topic.
The Global Glyphosate Study is being carried out by the Ramazzini Institute a non profit cooperative based in Italy.
They are conducting an on-going study of glyphosate and its impact on human health. This study examines a broad range of concerns including: toxicity, carcinogenicity, neurotoxicity, endocrine disruption, multi generational effects, prenatal development and impact on the microbiome. This research is being carried out by independent scientists responsible to the public not a corporation. To do this sort of work the organization requires funding and they raise part of their funding through crowd sourcing. Crowd sourcing allows the general public to be involved in supporting the ideas they are interested in.
