About the Author

 Helen Black is a mother who has lived the experiences described in this book.  She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology which has been foundational in her researching and experimenting with diet, metabolic functions, environmental impacts, etc. She is also a qualified teacher who taught high school biology but also worked casually across all age groups and subjects. Helen saw firsthand the impact our lifestyle has on children and the teachers who work with them.
Helen has now retired from working but still actively engages in research, experimentation, community development and activism.
